In my recent post about the Nikon AF-S 20mm f/1.8 G ED lens, I did ‘complain’ about the contrasty look of the footage shot with this lens on my Nikon D610. A contrasty frame shot with the 20mm Well, it turns out to be my own ‘fault’ and has a lot to do with the picture […]
Introduction In my quest for a new lens / combination of lenses for my Nikon D610, I opted for the ‘prime’ option instead of a zoom. More on this choice can be found here. This means I was going to buy a couple of prime lenses that will span the 20-85mm range. All with a […]
About two months ago I found a ‘cheap’ second hand Nikon 24-120mm f/4.0 and decided to give it a go. I will write a review soon, but I was asked about it’s VR capabilities via Youtube, so I made a short video about that.

Moving from a crop sensor D90 to a Full Frame D610 I was curious how the continuous modes of both camera’s would compare when it comes to speed and buffer size. I set up both camera’s like so: Continues mode D90 = H and D610 = CH disabled all image corrections. Both camera’s were set […]
Now that I have my Nikon D610, I was eager to try if it could be of any use for my trainspotting hobby. Being used to a Panasonic HC – X900, with it’s small sensors, stabilisation and zoom lens, it was kind of a shock when trying the D610 with the 50mm f/1.8 AF-D.
As I stated in my previous post, I am looking for a replacement for my 18-200mm lens on my D610 (Full Frame). In this post I compared the Sigma 24-105mm f/4 to the Nikon 24-120mm f/4, but I was not convinced the image quality of these two zooms was good enough for me. Another option […]
